Alvin Schwartz made a career of writing scary stories for young readers. Alvin Schwartz compiled over two dozen books of folklore for young readers that explore everything from wordplay and humor to tales and legends of all kinds. Besides A Dark, Dark Room and Other Scary Stories, he is best known for his series of Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark which is being made into a movie.


Victor Rivas was born and raised in Vigo, Spain and now lives outside of Barcelona. He has been a freelance illustrator since 1987 illustrating children and teen books. Victor enjoys creating comics, animation and cartoons, films, strategic games as well as spending all possible free time with his daughter Marta.
