John Pontius author bio
It was never John's intent to write LDS books or a doctrinal blog or website, but he decided early on to obey the voice of the Lord and discern His will in his life. Hearkening to the Lord's voice was not always easy, but John's difficult journey ended in a far better place than he ever dreamed possible.
After living thirty-three years in Alaska, raising a family there, and building several careers, the Lord sent John and his family to Utah. John and his wife, Terri, who is the love of his life, both grew up in Utah but spent the majority of their lives in "the mission field." Returning to Utah was like coming home and brought them nearer to additional family, children, and grandchildren.
Together they have eight children and twenty-one grandchildren. John had many opportunities to speak at firesides, write books, and begin and maintain his blog, UnBlogmySoul. He accomplished many unexpected and amazing things that only the hand of the Lord could have brought to pass.
John passed away peacefully in his home on December 10, 2012.
